Sepp Blatter, President of FIFA

Sepp Blatter

“The Boots For Africa campaign is a fantastic initiative and one we applaud at FIFA as it continues our aims of ensuring football is made available to all and helping to build a better future.”

Richard Caborn, 2018 World Cup Ambassador

Richard Caborn

“I fully support the Boots For Africa Appeal and I wish them great success in what is a very worthy cause. Providing boots to the children of Africa will not only inspire the next generation of football heroes, but ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to take part in sport. The 2010 World Cup will be staged in South Africa for the first ever time and football will be used by the country to help build a better life for local communities.”

Steve Easterbrook, President and CEO of McDonalds UK

Les Ferdinand

“I'm very happy to be getting involved in what I think is a really worthwhile charity. I have experienced the inspiration and sense of achievement that football can bring and this campaign is helping to give the same opportunity to children in Africa.”

Richard Tims, Chairman Sheffield FC

Richard Tims

“Football has taken a lot out of Africa with many great players moving out of the continent to play in the world's top leagues. Our Appeal provides a fantastic opportunity for the game to give something back and help improve the lives of many less fortunate children.”

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE

“The Boots For Africa campaign is a great initiative and gives the footballers and fans in this country the chance to help kids in Africa enjoy the game.”

Robert Hezel, Chief Financial Officer, LFE

“We’re pleased to be able to support Boots For Africa by supplying used boots from our apprentices. “It’s a great campaign and we hope to inspire even more players to join in and donate their unwanted boots.”

Martin Prothero, Umbro Senior Vice President of Football

“The Boots For Africa Campaign is a great opportunity for Umbro to give something back to the game of football and help change the lives of many under privileged children in Africa. We are delighted to contribute over 9,300 pairs of football boots to such a rewarding charity.”
