Boots Delivered To Nigeria
09 December 2011
Danjan Sports delivers football boots to Nigerian state through partnership with Polygon Sports and Boots For Africa.
Imo state in Nigeria will receive 100 pairs of football boots to support their new football initiative and help grow the game. The support comes from Polygon Sports & Boots For Africa who have been identifying football projects to support. The football boots have been collected through Boots For Africa’s charity functions, from ex professional players, local clubs and other football organisations.
David Omigie of DanJan Sports met with representatives of Polygon Sports to introduce the Imo state football initiative and highlight the support that could be added. “Giving kids the chance to play the game in proper footwear is a true blessing and I commend the work that Polygon Sports and Boots For Africa are doing”, said David.
Boots For Africa have been supporting many communities in Africa and providing disadvantaged children and adults with football boots that will allow them to have a better playing experience.
Richard Tims, Sheffield FC Chairman is delighted to be part of this initiative saying, "Boots For Africa is delighted to be working with Polygon Sports in identifying football initiatives that will develop the game in Africa. The IMO state project in Nigeria certainly addresses the need for change, so we are fully behind supporting this."
Polygon Sports Sponsorship Director, Koye Sowemimo, said, "Working with Boots For Africa is a great opportunity for us to identify football initiatives that will benefit from receiving football boots to help grow and develop the game. We recognise a lack of support particularly at the grassroots level and our vision is to open doors for all football players to be involved."
