DESIGN AGENCY DESIGN BRIDGE UK RAISE FUNDS FOR BOOTS FOR AFRICA
31 August 2010
Boots For Africa today received a cheque of £300 from London based branding company Design Bridge. Design Bridge have worked for Sheffield FC in the past, creating their new brand identity and logo’s in 2006 in the build up towards the 150th celebrations of the Club.
With their previous knowledge of
Sheffield FC and seeing how the Club has progressed with their outstanding charity work,
Design Bridge saw the World Cup and a great opportunity to lend their support.
Vivien Levene, Group General Facilities Manager said “As a company, Design Bridge is always looking for an opportunity to raise money for charity and have some fun in the process and so to tie in with World Cup fever, we decided to hold a fund raising lunch to raise some money to support something that encourages children and young adults to take part in a sporting activity within a community. We thought 'Boots for Africa' was a perfect match!” she added “Everyone in the company was encouraged to donate an internationally themed dish which was then sold for £5 a plate. There was an amazing response and some fabulous food. It was a complete sell out, not a scrap of food was left! We hope that the money will help and wish Boots for Africa lots of luck with all the hard work they carry out for this cause”.
Jenny Tims, Boots For Africa Project Manager enthused “Design Bridge came up with a very creative and fun way of fundraising and we are extremely grateful that they chose to support Boots for Africa”
All funds raised for Boots For Africa contribute to the transportation and logistics costs in getting the boots to people in Africa that benefit most. If you would like to help by organising a fundraising activity please contact
